Since opening on High Bridge in 2016 we have built a reputation for serving some of the best coffee in Newcastle & the North-East. Our second cafe, on Front Street in Tynemouth, opened in June 2025 – moments from the beach.
Both cafes serve Allpress espresso and rotating single-origin filter, alongside breakfast, brunch and lunch made from scratch in our own kitchen. Grab a quick coffee on your way to work or sit down with a friend for a slow morning of coffee and brunch – we’re open 7 days a week.
Laneway High Bridge, Newcastle – 17-19 High Bridge, NE1 1EW. Mon–Fri 8am–4pm, Sat 9am–5pm, Sun 9am–4pm.
Laneway Tynemouth – 69a Front Street, NE30 4BP. Mon–Fri 7am–3pm, Sat 7am–4pm, Sun 8am–4pm.
On Friday and Saturday nights, 5–10pm, our High Bridge cafe becomes a relaxed spot for small plates, sharing plates, wine and cocktails in Newcastle city centre. See the evening menu and book a table.
